From 1993 to 1996 –

Project Architect for Costall Allen Design


Projects included a new student training centre for North Lincolnshire College in Gainsborough and working as part of a team delivering two new stands for Burnley Football Club.



From 1988 to 1993 –

Project Architect and Associate:

John Roberts Architects Ltd.

Projects included alterations and adaptations to the Dysart Learning Centre in Grantham and acting as part of the team on the Kings Head Meadow Retail Development in Chelmsford.  



Between 1982 and 1988 –

Full time education at Leeds Polytechnic:

Including a ’year out’ practical experience at Benoy in Newark working on ‘The Pride’ retail development in Shrewsbury and ‘Eldon Gardens’ retail development in Newcastle Upon Tyne.



EarIy experience -

Ian’s early experience was gained with

Simons Design between 1976 and 1982.

Projects included the W.H.Smith in Lincoln and the award winning conversion of existing shops to office suites in Richmond, Surrey. During this period, part-time education resulted in the achievement of Architectural Technician status.
